MatrixOne to Host Environmental Compliance Seminar for the Electronics Industry

WESTFORD, Mass.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Dec. 5, 2005— MatrixOne, Inc. (NASDAQ: MONE), a leading provider of collaborative product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions for the value chain(TM), today announced that it will be hosting a free half-day conference focused on the latest environmental compliance regulations and how electronics companies are affected by existing and newly emerging regulations as they relate to their product development lifecycles.

This event, co-sponsored by Tetra Tech and Environmental Monitoring and Technologies, will examine the new environmental regulations coming out of the European Union, such as the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV) regulations, as well as current regulations being implemented worldwide by various other countries and organizations.

Mike Zepp, Principal Industry Consultant, Materials Compliance Solutions for MatrixOne will review a recent environmental compliance implementation and discuss how current leading practices can be applied to attendees' specific product development activities. In addition, he will review what the business ramifications are of non-compliance, how companies can determine what substances are in their products, and discuss what tools are available to help companies integrate compliance information into their development and production processes, making it easier to organize, understand and report this data when needed.
